Consultation & Engagement Specialist
With over 30 years’ experience in New Zealand and overseas Theresa is a highly capable and conscientious Consultation and Engagement Specialist with significant exposure across the private and government sectors both as a self-employed consultant and employee. She possess solid community and stakeholder consultation, policy planning, environmental planning, facilitation and project management experience. All this is supported by a strong background as a Senior Planner, Policy Planner and business partner. Key qualifications include a Bachelor of Regional Planning.
Has an open and honest approach when dealing with people and issues. Always brings a warm but firm approach to community engagement building on her planning and geography skills. Theresa is one of the first practitioners in Auckland Region to be accredited under the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2) training program. A founding member of the NZ Chapter of IAP2 and is the past Chair of the IAP2 network in Auckland.
Theresa is good in a crisis and is able and willing to take on hard issues and see them through to the best outcome, building strong and lasting relationships on the way. She maintains a professional approach but always with a good sense of humour.
